Kelly Cares Kicks off Paqui's Playbook Series presented by United Federal Credit Union with Pink Out Zumba

FREE Zumba Session Marks a Team Effort Between Kelly Cares Foundation, Saint Joseph Health System & United Federal Credit Union to Promote Health and Wellness

South Bend, IN – September 30, 2019 – As part of the sixth annual Paqui's Playbook Wellness Event Series, the Kelly Cares Foundation will team up with United Federal Credit Union and Saint Joseph Health System to offer a free Pink Out Zumba Session to the community on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Paqui's Playbook, presented by United Federal Credit Union, is a series of events each October with an emphasis on breast cancer awareness and healthy initiatives. The series is timed to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month. Pink Out Zumba is also meant to underscore the importance of overall health and wellness – strengthening mind, body, and spirit.

At Pink Out Zumba, over 1,200 men, women, and children will enjoy an hour-long Zumba workout directly on the football field inside the iconic Notre Dame Stadium. Participants will enjoy giveaways including football beads, headbands, Zumba sticks, and pink t-shirts.

“There is no simple fix when it comes to battling breast cancer,” says Paqui Kelly, co-founder of the Kelly Cares Foundation. “Pink Out Zumba is one of my favorites, as it not only helps to raise awareness for breast cancer, but also educates our community on how fitness can be a fun and effective way of improving their overall health.”

For the third year, United Federal Credit Union is the presenting sponsor for Paqui's Playbook.

“This is a partnership built on service and making a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors,” says Alysa Snell, United's Market Vice President—Indiana. “The credit union philosophy is people helping people, and every day United strives to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and to better our community. When you think about the Kelly Cares Foundation, you see a shared mission of service fueled by compassion and enthusiasm.”

The Kelly Cares Foundation's Official Healthcare Provider for the month of October is Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS). This is the sixth year that SJHS has been a supporting partner of the event.

“We are proud to continue our partnership to promote a healthy lifestyle,” said Michelle Peters, SJHS Vice President of Community Health and Well-Being. “Our community identified a need for increased access to physical activity, and the Pink Out Zumba event helps achieve this while bringing awareness to the importance of early detection for breast cancer.”

Because of the generous support from United Federal Credit Union, Saint Joseph Health System and all other sponsors, the Kelly Cares Foundation is able to offer this complimentary event to the community.

The Kelly Cares Foundations' Pink Out Zumba is free and open to members of the community of all fitness levels, encouraging everyone to come and participate in a healthy, fitness-oriented event that is anticipated to be fun for those of all ages. Details surrounding Pink Out Zumba include:
