Kelly Cares Foundation Hosts FREE Pink Out Zumba Session as part ofPaqui's Playbook Wellness Event Series

Zumba Session Marks A Team Effort Between Kelly Cares Foundation, Saint Joseph Health System & United Federal Credit Union to Promote Health and Wellness

South Bend, IN – September 28, 2017 – As part of the fourth annual Paqui's Playbook Wellness Event Series, the Kelly Cares Foundation will team up with United Federal Credit Union and Saint Joseph Health System to offer a free Pink Out Zumba Session to the community on Monday, October 2, 2017. The Zumba event and Paqui's Playbook Wellness Event Series are timed to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pink Out Zumba Session is also meant to underscore the importance of overall health and wellness – strengthening mind, body, and spirit.

At the Pink Out Zumba Session, men, women, and children will enjoy an hour-long Zumba workout directly on the football field inside Notre Dame Stadium – where over 1000 participants will help to “zumba for a cure” at the event.

Participants will enjoy a pink package including football beads, headbands, Zumba sticks, pink towels, and a pink t-shirt. Guests will also have the opportunity to walk the Pink Carpet and participate in the I'm A #GAMECHANGER booth while sharing their “selfie” and group photos on social media as part of the Kelly Cares Foundation's 2017 Be A #GAMECHANGER initiative.

“There is no simple fix when it comes to battling breast cancer,” says Paqui Kelly, co-founder of the Kelly Cares Foundation. “The Pink Out Zumba Session is one of my favorites, as it not only helps to raise awareness for breast cancer, but also educates our community on how fitness can be a fun and effective way of improving their overall health.”

This year, United Federal Credit Union is the presenting sponsor for Paqui's Playbook. “The Kelly Cares Foundation is passionate about creating an impact in Michiana through inspiring hope and making a difference in the lives of others,” said UFCU's Chief Lending Officer, Stacy Fillmore. “We are honored to serve as the presenting sponsor of Paqui's Playbook and partner with an organization that shares our same goals.”

The Kelly Cares Foundation's Official Healthcare provider for the month of October is Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS). This is the fourth year that SJHS has been a supporting partner of the event. The Pink Out Zumba Session provides another opportunity to spread the “This Counts” movement – a wellness program with 50 community partners, including the Kelly Cares Foundation, that encourages people to get up and move. Tours of the SJHS's Mobile Medical Unit will be will be open to participants during registration.

Because of the generous support from United Federal Credit Union, Saint Joseph Health System and all of our other sponsors, the Kelly Cares Foundation is able to offer this complimentary event to the community.
